জিআই পণ্যগুলো দেশের সম্পদ। বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশের সর্বমোট জিআই পণ্য ২১টি। জার্নালে আছে আরও ১০টি। ২ মাসের মধ্যে কোন বিরোধীতা না আসলে দেশের স্বীকৃত জিআই পণ্যের সংখ্যা ২১ থেকে ৩১টিতে উন্নতি করবে।
